Team SAA is the team environment for archers who want more than casual shooting. It’s where you train with other motivated archers, prepare for events, and learn what it means to represent Sarasota Archery Academy on the line.
We combine structured coaching, team culture, and event support so you are not chasing goals alone.
Who Team SAA Is For
Team SAA is designed for:
- Youth and adult archers who have moved beyond beginner stages.

Team SAA is not about being perfect. It’s about being coachable, consistent, and willing to work toward shared goals.
What Team SAA Training Looks Like
Team SAA training typically includes:
- Regular team practices with structured drills.
- Coach-led warm-ups, training blocks, and cool-downs.
- Score-based work that mirrors real event formats.
- Goal setting and progress tracking for each archer.
- Team-building and support on and off the line.
We keep the environment positive and focused. The goal is to make hard work feel productive, not overwhelming.
Equipment Expectations for Team SAA
Team SAA archers can start with a variety of bows, but as goals increase, it often makes sense to move into purpose-built equipment that fits your division and level.
We work with all major brands and also support many Elite bow shooters on the team. It’s common to see Elite target bows like the Victra and youth bows like the Emerse on Team SAA, supported through our Elite dealer hub. That said, Team SAA is brand-agnostic — the priority is fit, tune, and commitment, not a logo.
Events and Competitions
Team SAA members may participate in:
- Local shoots and fun events.
- State-level events and series.
- National or larger events as appropriate.
We help families understand event options, divisions, and what to expect. We can also build event prep plans that combine practice, coaching, and equipment checks.
Pathway Into and Through Team SAA
Most Team SAA archers:
- Start in Foundation.
- Move into Advanced Coaching.
- Join Team SAA when they are ready for a team environment and events.
Along the way, we often pair training with Bow Tuning, Custom Arrows, and Custom Sight Tapes so equipment keeps up with skill level.
Team SAA – FAQs
Do I have to be “good enough” before I apply?
You don’t need to be perfect. We are looking for archers who are committed, coachable, and ready to train regularly. We will help you decide if the timing is right.
Is Team SAA only for kids?
No. We support youth and adult archers, with expectations and training plans adjusted appropriately.
Do I need a certain brand of bow?
No. Team SAA is not brand-specific. We do support a number of Elite shooters along with other brands, but what matters most is that the bow fits, is tuned, and supports your goals.
